Thundercats is part of the 1980s
revival that has swept the comics industry, joining the likes of G.I.
Joe and Transformers. This 5-issue mini-series (plus the
preview "#0" issue) is from WildStorm Productions, which was
originally an imprint of Image Comics and is now a part of DC. The series
picks up where the cartoon ended, with Mumm-Ra defeated and Thundera restored.
Featuring the detailed pencils, computerized coloring, and superior paper
of modern comics, this series is far cry from the 1980s Thundercats
series from Marvel. Ed McGuiness of Superman fame penciled all
5 issues of the mini-series.
