Thunder… Thunder… Thunder…
THUNDERCATS
Hooooooo!!!
Prepare to reunite with some feline friends for one of the most widely
anticipated launches of the season, as WildStorm Productions gives its own
unique and unforgettable spin on the '80s animation sensation…Thundercats!
Return to Thundera with not one, but two exciting projects debuting
in August — featuring white-hot creators such as J. Scott Campbell and Ed
McGuinness!
First up, Campbell — the artistic powerhouse behind the best-selling
DANGER GIRL — illustrates and cowrites a special 12-page story in the
not-to-be-missed THUNDERCATS #0! Teamed with cowriter Ford Lytle
Gilmore, Campbell and the 'Cats are a match made in heaven! If you're a
fan of the cult-favorite cartoon, or a new reader caught up in the trend
of '80s nostalgia, you’ll be ecstatic when you read this tale filled to
the absolute brim with pulse-pounding thunderous action. Experience the
drama and excitement firsthand as the Thundercats come to life on the
page. Special bonus features in this #0 issue include character bios and
behind-the-scenes production designs!
Then
in two weeks it’s THUNDERCATS #1 — the beginning of a 5-issue
monthly miniseries written by Gilmore and featuring art and covers by Ed
McGuinness (SUPERMAN) & Jason Martin (MR. MAJESTIC), and a first issue
variant cover by Arthur Adams. The adventure begins immediately where the
popular cartoon left off, with New Thundera restored, and Thundercats King
Lion-O gathering his old friends. For New Thundera, it is time to call
home the other Thundera refugees and finally rebuild their once-majestic
society. But there are dark tidings brewing at Mumm-Ra's Pyramid, where
the Ancient Spirits of Evil have concocted a nefarious plan to free the
Shadowmaster from the Shadow Realm. It's up to Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro,
Cheetera and the Thunderkittens to save the day!

projects are supported with a 4-color poster, exclusive preview in Wizard:

POINT BLANK
Have
you ever had something on the edge of your thoughts but couldn’t recall
it? That’s the problem facing Cole Cash — a.k.a. Grifter of the WildCats.
But he’s determined to get to the bottom of the mystery in POINT BLANK
— a 5-issue mature-readers super-hero noir spectacular from
WildStorm’s “Eye of the Storm!”
POINT
BLANK is by acclaimed writer Ed Brubaker (BATMAN, CATWOMAN) and noted
European comics artist Colin Wilson (Lt. Blueberry), and features
startling painted covers by Simon Bisley. After being summoned by his old
Team 7 associate and legendary I.O. spook John Lynch, Cole is ensnared in
a deadly game of cat and mouse. Whom the perpetrators work for and what
are their ultimate goals become the least of Grifter’s concerns after
Lynch falls victim to a vicious attack that leaves him teetering at the
abyss of death.
This
gripping miniseries leads directly into SLEEPER, the ongoing “Eye of the
Storm” series by Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips that debuts this
December.
This
project is supported with house and trade ads.
POINT
BLANK is a 5-issue WildStorm Productions miniseries edited by Scott
Dunbier and is suggested for mature readers. The 32-page issue #1 arrives
in comic-book stores August 14 with a cover price of $2.95 U.S.
WILDCATS
Version 3.0
They
were the premier characters of the WildStorm Universe, and a force
to be reckoned with. Now, exactly a decade after their first appearance,
the newest incarnation of WildStorm’s debut super-team returns in the
latest ongoing series from the “Eye of the Storm” mature-readers line.
WILDCATS Version 3.0 is brought to you by the team of writer Joe Casey
(WILDCATS Volume 2, AUTOMATIC KAFKA, ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN), penciller
Dustin Nguyen (THE AUTHORITY, JET) and inker Richard Friend (STEAMPUNK).
The WildCats have come a long way from being a Covert Action Team, as
WILDCATS Version 3.0 explores the decidedly corporate machinations of Jack
Marlowe and the Halo Corporation. Exactly how does a modern multinational
conglomerate go about taking over the world? And how do the other members
of the WILDCATS cast — Grifter, Wax, C.C. Rendozzo, the mysterious Agent
Orange, and several new characters — fit into its plans?
Version 3.0 delves deeper into the lives and the motivations of the
characters than ever before with sophisticated relationships and more
complex interactions existing alongside the all-out action and intrigue of
earlier volumes. You’ll never be able to predict the twists and turns.
This
project is supported with house and trade ads.
WILDCATS Version 3.0 is an ongoing WildStorm Productions series edited by
John Layman. Issue #1 arrives in comic-book stores August 28 with a cover
price of $2.95 U.S.
How
far should you go for a friend?
FOUR WOMEN
TRADE PAPERBACK
Writer/artist Sam Kieth, the mastermind behind The Maxx and ZERO
GIRL, created an acclaimed story about four friends who go through an
incredible ordeal that changed their lives forever. Now that miniseries is
collected in FOUR WOMEN — a 128-page HOMAGE COMICS trade paperback
that tells the complete story of Donna and her friends, from the gruesome
beginning to the shattering conclusion.
FOUR
WOMEN is the story of Bev, Donna, Marion, and Cindy — four friends who
start out driving to a wedding together…only they never make it. While
driving through the desert, their car breaks down — and from that point,
they end up taking an entirely different kind of journey, one that leads
them to their own Hell and back. It’s a nightmare of mayhem that causes
them to question their friendships, their lives and even themselves.
We
see their story through the eyes of Donna as she tries to pull her life
back together after the horrors she's seen. But her therapy ends up taking
her much further than she ever could have anticipated. In the end, FOUR
WOMEN keeps you guessing as the mysteries unfold. What dark secret — and
terrifying revelation — has bound these women together? And do they all
make it back safely or not? FOUR WOMEN is a story about strength, the will
to survive and the endurance of friendship.
This
project is supported with house ads.
FOUR
WOMEN is a 128-page HOMAGE COMICS trade paperback and is suggested for
mature readers. It arrives in comic-book stores August 14 with a cover
price of $17.95 U.S.

English!
Originally written by Lee Chung Hing and illustrated by Hui King Sum, and
translated into English dialogue by Ted Adams & Kris Oprisko (RESIDENT
EVIL: FIRE & ICE), Volume Two finds Claire and Steve continuing to look
for a way off Umbrella’s creature-infested island. These flesh-eating
zombies, monstrous beasts and strange mutations are spreading around the
globe. But the most important question is: Will Claire ever uncover the
details behind the bio-tech conspiracy?
After

ever, and this exciting graphic novel features the hard-hitting action
that Resident Evil fans love.
This
project is supported with house ads.

THE
AUTHORITY: KEV
The
U.S. government is fed up with the Authority’s meddling in world affairs.
So they bring on a killer-for-hire to fix the problem. But the Authority
is the WildStorm Universe’s most powerful super-team, right? So what could
only one man do? How about dismantling the team with ridiculous ease?
In
his first work for WildStorm, master of mature-readers mayhem Garth Ennis
(PREACHER, HELLBLAZER) teams up with noted cover artist and longtime
collaborator Glenn Fabry (PREACHER). Together, they bring WildStorm’s most
popular team into the “Eye of the Storm” with THE AUTHORITY: KEV —
an outrageous, hysterical tale about a man called, well…Kev.
That’s short for Kevin Hawkins — a screw-up government agent who has the
best luck in the world…and the worst. Case in point: He’s the guy given
the assignment, and the means, to kill the Authority. What’s more, Kev
just might have enough dumb luck to get the job done. But, believe it or
not, Kev may have even bigger problems than the Authority. In fact, the
entire world has a big problem. And it’s all Kev’s fault.
This
project is supported with house and trade ads, and a minisite at
www.dccomics.com.
THE
AUTHORITY: KEV is a 48-page WildStorm Productions one-shot edited by John
Layman and is suggested for mature readers. It arrives in comic-book
stores August 7 with a cover price of $4.95 U.S.
