The first Powerpuff Girls comic book
stories appeared in issues # 1 and # 5 of Cartoon Network Starring.
Those issues sold out so quickly that the girls were quickly given their
own series, which has been published monthly ever since. Artist Phil Moy
has provided the cover for every issue, and his collaborations with
writers Sean Carolan and Jennifer Moore have proven to be among the best
issues of the series. The first two issues of The Powerpuff Girls
were reprinted in The Powerpuff Girls Double Whammy # 1.
