damage each other’s ships, the three put on their
battle suits and combat in the sky, nearly
destroying several cities below in the process,
until they give Snowlock a “hot seat.” He cools
off on a comet, vowing to return.

AYPWIP:
BRAIN: Pinky! Are you
pondering what I’m pondering?
PINKY: I think so,
Brain, but practicing docking procedures with a goat
at zero G’s—it’s never been done!
Quote of the Story:
BRAIN: What are you
doing here, you villain?
SNOWLOCK: Oh, the
usual. Planning to take over the world with my newly
developed Snowtech Battle Technology using parts I
found on a crashed UFO.
BRAIN: That’s
outrageous!
PINKY: I’ll say!
You’d think with all those UFO’s crashing,
we’d leave their technology alone!
Review:
Every appearance Snowball has made so far has ended
with him swearing to return! They need a more
original line… But other than that, a great story.
The writing is top-notch—the “tamagotchee”
jokes, while horribly outdated, were funny in their
day, and the anime/manga parodies are dead-on and
funny. Carzon does an excellent job translating the
mice (and hamster) into anime style, showing how
flexible his talents are. Superb job by all, and
especially recommended to fans of Japanese animation
and comics.

temperatures of water.
Description:
At the Place of the Cursed Pools, Brain plans to
jump into the “Pool of the Drowned Master of
Martial Arts,” gaining his abilities. Pinky
realizes that the sign goes on to say that he had a

the two become one. Pinky is now in Brain’s mind,
and they head to the martial arts tournament, where
Brain plans to compete. But when he’s touched by
hot water he becomes Pinky, and vice versa. After
several predictable but amusing mishaps, they land
in a bowl of cold hot & sour soup, the
contradictory nature of which breaks the curse.

AYPWIP:
BRAIN: Are you not
pondering what I’m pondering?
PINKY: I think so,
Brain! But shouldn’t we let the silk worms finish
the boxer shorts before we put them on?
Quote of the Story:
[Pinky is running
from the men, who are throwing sharp objects at
him.]
BRAIN: [Inside
Pinky’s mind]: Why are you running away, Pinky?!
PINKY: Brain, I’m a
lover, not a fighter—or a pincushion! Zort!
BRAIN: You’ll have
to do your best while I try to figure out this
problem!
PINKY: But I’m no
Bruce Lee, Brain! I’m not even a Sara Lee!
Review:
More of the same. Another terrific spoof of anime/manga,
with more of Carzon’s neat art. Also a neat twist
on the Ranma
˝ concept, with the mice switching back and
forth throughout the competition. Despite the fact
that it’s hard to believe so many people would be
spilling liquids, alternating between hot and cold
(as Brain said, “Anyone ever tell you that you
have the clumsiest vendors in the world here?!”),
the story is still lots of fun, and many of the
parts are laugh-out-loud hilarious. Highly
recommended.
