our stories!
Review:
A pleasant enough story. Despite some of the gags
falling flat, the story as a whole is silly and fun, and entertaining more
often than not. Look for a shot of Wakko playing the "Animaniacs Game
Pack" PC game.

Brain's brain is blasted out of his head.

two travel across New York, finding the materials necessary to restore Brain's
cranium. After some *VERY* wacky bits, (including a King Kong-style climb to
the top of the Empire State Building), Brain's head is repaired.

Quote of the Story:
BRAIN: At the key moment, I will assume control of the
world's loudspeakers and bombard the masses with the most annoying sound known
to mankind.
PINKY: Fran Dresher's voice? Poit!
Review:
P&tB's stories, unlike the other A! characters',
are supposed to remain relatively realistic. This story is so completely
out-there and bizarre, it doesn't even feel like a P&tB comic at all. And
the dialogue, as in most of Matheny's stories, isn't terribly funny. But on the
up side, at least the mice are kept relatively in-character this time. And one
can't help but laugh at the sheer absurdity of the story. Fans of out-and-out
silliness should get a kick out of it, if nothing else…

Title: "Minerva's Valentine"
Writer: Joe Edkin
Penciller: Leo Batic
Inker: Jim Amash
Letterer: Phil Felix
Colorist: Bob LeRose
Summary:
Minerva receives several Valentine's Day suitors.
Description:
Several men ask Minerva to be their Valentine,
but all melt into a pile of goo in the presence of her charms. At a restaurant,
she seems to finally meet the hunk of her dreams (classy looking fellow too),
but even he can't take her beauty. So she spends the evening with the person
she loves most—herself!
Pages (out of 32): 4 pp.
Quote of the Story:
MINERVA: Imagine a nerd like you calling on a vision like
me!
Review:
Nothing special, just the usual stuff. Some nice
wild takes and other sight gags, although Batic's Minerva seems to be just a
teeny bit off (especially in the first few panels). Pleasant enough.
