Summary:
The Warners are at a wrestling match. Thinking the wrestlers are Kiss, they force them to sing.

Description:
The Warners arrive at a "wrasslin'" match: the "Screaming Snit" of the century, featuring "Foaming Mad McGillicutty" and "The Hospitalizer" vs. "Pretty Boy Floyd" and "The Enchanted Nutcracker." They think they're at a Kiss concert, and get up on stage to get the wrestlers to sing, in the typical Warner fashion. They eventually make them do classic drama scenes, before the showstopping finale. The Warners realize that they had the wrong night, and go to the Kiss concert the next night.

Pages (out of 32): 12 pp.

Quote of the Story:
HOSPITALIZER: Prepare to meet your maker!

WAKKO: Oh, is Steven here?

YAKKO: I didn't know he was a Kiss fan, too?

Review:
Not half as bad as it sounds. This is actually a thoroughly entertaining story, with the Warners utilizing their usual silliness to trash professional wrestling. While the idea of the three being hardcore Kiss fans is somewhat disturbing, the rest of the story is good enough to make up for that flaw. Carzon still doesn't quite have the Warners down…

Title:"The Mean, Green Monster Brain Machine

Writer: Jesse Leon McCann
Penciller:
Walter Carzon
Inker:
Mike DeCarlo
Letterer:
John Costanza
Colorist:
Jo Meugniot

Summary:
The mice enter a monster truck rally.

Description:
Brain plans to transfer two dollars from every bank account on Earth to his Swiss Bank Account, making him the richest person on the planet, but needs a powerful laser. There's a giant laser extravaganza following a Monster Truck Rally. The mice fix up a 'rod and enter the rally. However, Don "The Snake" Serpentine, last year's champ, causes trouble. He ties Brain and the two go into a 2nd round. They must drive to the top of a pile of cars. Snake slashes their tires, but Pinky refills them with helium, floating them to the top and winning. The mice jump out as the car flies away, and they rush to the laser, but before Brain can take control, the car returns to Earth, crashing right on top of him.

Pages (out of 32): 12 pp.

AYPWIP:
BRAIN: Pinky! Are you pondering what I'm pondering?

PINKY: I think so, Brain. But if I put on two tutu's, would I really be wearing a four-by-four?

Quote of the Story:
[After the AYPWIP.]

BRAIN: Why do I even bother asking?

PINKY: I dunno, Brain. Maybe it's all part of some huge, cosmic plot formula!

Review:
One of McCann's first two P&tB stories (the other being published simultaneously in P&tB # 2 the same month), this one isn't as good as some of the stories he'd write for that title later, but is still pretty enjoyable. Carzon's usual nice work on the mice.
