Writer: Amy Weingartner
Penciller:
Neal Sternecky
Inker:
Scott McRae
Letterer:
Bob Pinaha
Colorist:
Jo Meugniot
Cover:
Neal Sternecky

Release Date: April ??, 1995
Cover Price:
$1.50 U.S./ $2.10 Canada

Summary:
The Warners attend a health club.

Description:
The Warners feel they're no longer cute, and so go to a health spa, where they hope to get a "major overhaul." But they're mistaken as trainees and Yakko, Dot, & Wakko are assigned to the kitchen, hot tub, and yoga class, respectively, with the expected results. After the club's customers praise their methods, they're served by the snooty manager, Ken, instead of vice versa.

Pages (out of 32): 10 pp.

Quote of the Story:
YAKKO: [Counting the money.]: Just enough for a week at "The Ranch."

WAKKO: But how are we gonna get there?

DOT: [Flipping an elephant.]: Heads we go by bus, tails we go by hovercraft.

Review:
A rather so-so story…the idea of the Warners going to a health club to enhance their looks is rather dumb anyway (they've been cute for 60 years—they don't look any different from the day they were drawn!). Besides, Ken seemed a fairly unoriginal character (being pretty much identical to everyone else the Warners have ever bugged). But it's still readable (unlike some of the other stories from this period), and the artwork is pretty nice (for those who like Sternecky's stuff)…

Title: Pinky and the Brain: "Win Big"

Writer: Peter Hastings
Penciller:
Neal Sternecky
Inker:
Scott McRae
Letterer:
Steve Haynie
Colorist:
Jo Meugniot

Summary:
An adaptation of the TV cartoon; Brain goes on Gyp-Parody.

Description:
Brain plans to go on Gyp-Parody to win the money necessary for tonight's plan. To do so, he builds a mechanical suit that makes him look like a man. However, after beating the other contestants, he loses his money on one question—about Ralph Kramden's catch phrase from The Honeymooners, which Pinky has been spouting all night.

Pages (out of 32): 8 pp.

AYPWIP:
BRAIN: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

PINKY: I think so, Brain, but where are we gonna find a duck and a hose at this hour?

Quote of the Story:
[The mice walk across a piece of rolled paper, unrolling it.]

BRAIN: Shall I explain how it works?

PINKY: Challenge me, Brain! [The paper rolls up on him.] Woooah!

BRAIN: I'm sure I will.

Review:
Basically a comic version of the first P&tB TV cartoon. They stick to the TV script *VERY* closely (hence, the reason no adapter is credited). Obviously, the cartoon itself, a work of brilliance, would easily get 4 stars, but the comic loses some points for unoriginality…

Title: Animaniacs in "Tower Trouble"

Writer: John Walker
Artist:
George Wildman (Penciller & Inker)
Letterer:
Bob Pinaha
Colorist:
Dave Tanguay

Summary:
The Warners are released from the tower by an incompetent plumber.

Description:
A new plumber, Plotzy's son-in-law, is assigned to check every leak in the place, as they're filming several films involving massive amounts of water today. Perrier, the plumber, unwittingly turns up the pressure on the tower's gauge, causing it to fill with water and sends the Warners across the lot, ruining the filming of the various pictures. He ends up with a nice, dry job…

Pages (out of 32): 6 pp.

Quote of the Story:
[The Warners play "army."]

YAKKO: Alert! Enemies approaching at two o'clock!

WAKKO: Aw, it's not even noon yet! Tell 'em to hurry!

Review:
Yeeeeeecccccchhhhhhh. If there were a grade below "0," this story would get it. This one has it all: unoriginal plot, terrible artwork, stinted dialogue, and a bunch of stupid discontinuities (i.e., they don't even mention that Perrier is Plotz's son-in-law until the second-to-last panel; and since when is Plotz married anyway?!). Don't say I didn't warn you…
