Comics Previews: "Defenders," "Revisionary," "Red Sonja," "Action Philosophers"

Several new comics previews are available on the Internet:

– Mile High Comics has advance previews of Marvel and DC comic books hitting stands on September 28, including Defenders #3 by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, and Kevin Maguire (Marvel); and Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere #4 by Gaiman, Mike Carey, and Glenn Fabry (DC/Vertigo)

– Newsarama.com continues Free Alias week with David: The Shepherd’s Song #1 by Royden Lepp about the biblical King of Israel and winner against Goliath; The 10th Muse #1 by Darren G. Davis and Alex Amezcua; and The Gimoles #1 by Mike Bullock and Theo Bain. (In a related story, Runemaster Studios announced their departure from Alias.)

– Newsarama.com also has previews of Brian Wood and Ryan Kelly’s Local #1 from Oni Press; The Adventures of Bio Boy #2 by Sal Cipriano, Andy MacDonald, and Estudio Haus from Speakeasy Comics; and Red Sonja #2 by Mike Carey, Michael Avon Oeming, and Mel Rubi from Dynamite Entertainment.

– Broken Frontier has a five-page preview of Revisionary #2 by Paul D. Storrie (Gotham Girls, Robin Hood) and EricJ (Rex Mundi).

– Comicon.com’s PULSE News has a six-page preview of Action Philosophers Self-Help for Stupid Ugly Losers‘ biography of Joseph Campbell. The comic is by Fred Van Lente and Ryan Dunlavey, and the issue promises the Reader’s Choice Poll.

– Several Marvel comics scheduled for release on October 12 have 6-page previews on Newsarama.com, including Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 by Peter David and Mike Wieringo; Ghost Rider #2 by Garth Ennis and Clayton Crain; Marvel Monster: Where Monsters Dwell by a variety of creators.
