20th Century Fox has released a teaser trailer for Blue Sky Studios’ upcoming Peanuts feature film, which offers a first look at the movie’s art style and the appearances of Charlie Brown and Snoopy. The Peanuts movie is being produced by the son of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz, Craig Schulz, who wrote the screenplay with his son Bryan Schulz and Cornelius Uliano. Steve Martino (Horton Hears a Who!, Ice Age: Continental Drift) is attached as the director. An article at USA Today includes comments from Craig and Bryan Schulz about the movie and reports a planned release date of November 6, 2015. Plot details are scarce for now but it has been revealed that “the Little Red-Haired Girl” will be included in the film, as well as the full cast of the Peanuts comic strip and television specials.
For the first time ever, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang we know and love from Charles Schulz’s timeless “Peanuts” comic strip will be making their big-screen debut; like they’ve never been seen before in a CG-Animated Feature film in 3D.
