Classic Creators Return for New Batman Stories

by on January 5, 2005

Comicon.com’s PULSE News reports that Steve Englehart, Marshall Rogers, John Workman, and Terry Austin are on board for Dark Detective, a new bi-weekly Batman comic to debut this spring. Englehart, Rogers, and Workman were instrumental in the revival of Batman after the camp craze of the 60’s, and Englehart has promised the return of Silver St. Cloud, a former romantic interest for Bruce Wayne.

Meanwhile, The New York Times broke the news that Frank Miller is scheduled to join artist Jim Lee for All-Star Batman & Robin (free registration required). Miller is the renowned (or infamous) creator behind The Dark Knight Returns, The Dark Knight Strikes Again, and Sin City. More information about the comic is available at Newsarama.com and at Jim Lee’s weblog.
