NYC Museum of Modern Art Ghibli Film Festival

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City will be screening several Studio Ghibli films for a “Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata: Masters of Animation” feature. Howl’s Moving Castle will be shown on June 6, several days before its scheduled American release date. (via

Frank Gorshin, the actor who was known as the impressionist of 100 faces including the role of The Riddler in the Batman series starring Adam West, has passed away at the age of 72. ADV Films has acquired and will release to DVD Samurai Gun on August 16, the company says. The thirteen-episode series, which is based on a manga by Kazuhiro Kumagai, will get a four-volume release.
