Kids WB will air an all-new episode of The Batman on Saturday, August 27. The new episode, airing at 8:30am (ET) and entitled “Grundy’s Night,” features the legendary zombie returning to Gotham to seek revenge. Mexico’s TV Azteca will release Pirates en El Pacifico to US theaters this fall, AWN reports, citing Variety. The 3D-animated feature film recently opened in Mexico.
Germany’s BKN International plans to raise $7 million to fund “strategic investments” in India and China, c21 Media reports. The company has already co-produced the Indian animated series Legend of the Dragon and acquired a stake in China’s ToonMax TV.
Alliance Atlantis Communications has appointed Fisher-Price the master toy licensee for Lunar Jim, World Screen reports. A toy line based on the new stop-motion animated property will be ready to launch in Canada in the fall of 2006.
