Dudley Do-Right Emporium Facing the Wrecking Ball

Mark Evanier and Jerry Beck are both noting that the Dudley Do-Right Emporium on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood is facing destruction. The Emporium was opened in 1971 by Rocky & Bullwinkle creator Jay Ward, who often manned the registers with his wife Ramona. The Emporium closed earlier this year.

"Solo" #5 Spotlights Darwyn Cooke

Langella Takes Role in "Superman Returns"

Frank Langella will replace Hugh Laurie in the role of Perry White in Superman Returns, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Laurie was forced to bow out because of a scheduling conflict.

Kids Pick "SpongeBob," "The Incredibles"

SpongeBob SquarePants was named favorite cartoon at the 18th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, AWN reports. The Incredibles took the prize for favorite movie, and Will Smith won for favorite voice for his work in Shark Tale. Shrek 2 won for favorite game.

"Futurama" Disc Gets August DVD Date

Fox will release Futurama: Monster Robot Maniac Fun Collection to DVD on August 23, TVShowsOnDVD reports, citing GotFuturama.com.

VIZ, ShoPro Complete Merger
