American Anime Awards Come to New York Comic Con

The New York Comic Con has announced that the American Anime Awards will be held on Saturday, February 24th at the New Yorker Hotel. The awards will highlight the best anime released in North America as judged by the fans, who will be able to vote for their favorites online starting in January 2007.

Fox to Distribute Certain DiC shows to DVD

Tvshowsondvd.com and Variety.com report that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has signed a five-year deal with DiC Productions. They will distribute the line of toons from Inspector Gadget, Madeline, Care Bears, and Dennis the Menace. DiC currently has a deal with Fox on the Strawberry Shortcake line of DVDs.
