Fox Puts “Wentworth Hall” Into Development

Twentieth Century Fox TV is developing Wentworth Hall, a new animated comedy from Jake Kasdan and Lew Morton, Deadline Hollywood reports. The series will focus on a group of college students attending a once-prestigious university. Morton, formerly of Futurama, will executive produce with Kasdan. Melvin Mar will produce.

Adult Swim Picks Up “Rick & Morty”

Adult Swim has picked up Rick & Morty, a new animated series from Community creator Dan Harmon, The New York Times reports. The thirty-minute animated series will follow the adventures of a genius inventor and his grandson. It is expected to debut in 2014. Harmon is co-creating the series with Justin Roiland.

UK’s Channel 5 Orders “Wanda and the Alien” for 2013

The UK’s Channel 5 has ordered a new preschool animated series based on the kid property Wanda and the Alien, c21 Media reports. The CGI-animated series will follow a girl rabbit who meets an alien. The series, from RH Childeren’s Screen Entertainment, is expected to debut in the latter half of 2013.
