Writer Gail Simone has spoken to Newsarama about Birds of Prey #85, which ended with a potentially major change for Barbara Gordon, a.k.a. Oracle. The article contains major spoilers for the issue. Birds of Prey #86, due out on September 21, 2005, will be a self-contained story with artwork by Bruce Timm.

Studio Ghibli Short Film DVD Scheduled for Region 2

Nausicaa.net is reporting that a region 2 DVD containing several short films by Studio Ghibli has been scheduled for release this fall in Japan. The disc will include the films “On Your Mark,” “Sorairo no Tane,” “Portable Airport,” and “Space Station No. 5.”

Clark County Library Hosts Stan Lee, Garrison Keillor

The Clark County Public Library in Ohio has announced its lineup for its Speaker Series for 2005-6, which includes Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee and Prairie Home Companion host Garrison Keillor. Sadly, the two will not be appearing together.
