"Story Store" Comes to DVD

Inspired Corp. will release Story Store, a new 13-episode children’s animation series, to DVD, according to AWN. There will be a total of five DVDs sold, each containing three episodes and a free children’s book. Also included is a holiday special with one bonus episode.

FUNimation Acquires "Basilisk"

FUNimation has acquired North American rights to Basilisk, a 24-episode anime series produced by Gonzo Digimation, AWN reports, citing ICv2.com. Set in the early 17th Century, the series mixes aspects of the ninja and horror genre with a Romeo & Juliet-like romance between the leaders of two mutant ninja clans.

NY Post Hosts Batman Comic Giveaway

In conjunction with the Batman Begins feature film, the New York Post will be giving away a reprint of Batman #608 on Monday, June 13. The issue, by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, began the 12-part “Hush” storyline (Discuss the entire Batman: Hush storyline here).
