"Witchblade" Anime Coming to Japan in April

Newsarama.com is reporting that a new Witchblade anime series will be debuting in Japan in April 2006. The series will transplant the Witchblade story to Japan rather than re-using the Sara Pezzini character from the existing Witchblade comic books and TV series. Twenty-six episodes are planned; Kodansha will also release a tie-in manga series.
