Gatchaman, Yatterman make their way to the big screen

Index Holdings, through their subsidiary Nikkatsu Corporation, has announced the green lighting of live action movies based on the Gatchaman and Yatterman properties for a spring 2009 release. Woody Woodpecker on DVD July 24

Universal will be releasing The Woody Woodpecker and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection on DVD on July 24, 2007. The 3-disc set will contain 75 uncut and restored theatrical cartoons starring the likes of Woody Woodpecker, Andy Panda, and Chilly Willy. Expected retail price for the set will be $39.98.
