Adult Swim has picked up Rick & Morty, a new animated series from Community creator Dan Harmon, The New York Times reports. The thirty-minute animated series will follow the adventures of a genius inventor and his grandson. It is expected to debut in 2014. Harmon is co-creating the series with Justin Roiland.
Comic-Con has inked a deal with San Diego that will keep the convention in town through 2016, the Associated Press reports. The UK’s Channel 5 has ordered a new preschool animated series based on the kid property Wanda and the Alien, c21 Media reports. The CGI-animated series will follow a girl rabbit who meets an alien. The series, from RH Childeren’s Screen Entertainment, is expected to debut in the latter half of 2013.
