Twentieth Century Fox TV is developing Wentworth Hall, a new animated comedy from Jake Kasdan and Lew Morton, Deadline Hollywood reports. The series will focus on a group of college students attending a once-prestigious university. Morton, formerly of Futurama, will executive produce with Kasdan. Melvin Mar will produce.
Adult Swim has picked up Rick & Morty, a new animated series from Community creator Dan Harmon, The New York Times reports. The thirty-minute animated series will follow the adventures of a genius inventor and his grandson. It is expected to debut in 2014. Harmon is co-creating the series with Justin Roiland.
Comic-Con has inked a deal with San Diego that will keep the convention in town through 2016, the Associated Press reports.
