Writer Simon Furman has spoken to Comic Book Resources about his work on the Transformers tie-in comic books, discussing the mini-series approach the company is taking over a regular monthly comic book, how he keeps from going stale creatively, and his plans for some lesser-known or less loved Transformer characters.
The trailer for the animated Hellboy: Sword of Storms movie has just been posted at the official website. The direct-to-video movie is based on the Mike Mignola comic book from Dark Horse. Several actors from the live-action movie will reprise their roles, including Ron Perlman as Hellboy and Selma Blair as Liz Sherman.
Dark Horse Comics has announced vinyl figures and a PVC figure set based on Roald Dahl’s Gremlins, with release dates in November and January, respectively. Dahl’s Gremlins was illustrated by Walt Disney animation artists and was to be an animated feature film until the project was shelved. Read the full press release here.

Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada revealed that writer Dwayne McDuffie (Justice League Unlimited) will be taking over the monthly Fantastic Four comic book. Current writer J. Michael Straczynski announced his imminent departure from the book, although no dates for McDuffie’s first issue have been announced.
