Cartoon Network Releases San Diego Comic-Con Clips of “Uncle Grandpa,” “Steven Universe,” “Clarence”

Cartoon Network gave an exclusive sneak peek of three brand-new original comedies from Cartoon Network Studios. All three brand new animated series were created as part of the shorts development initiative at Cartoon Network Studios. The panel featured Uncle Grandpa from creator Pete Browngardt, a series about a lovable, mystical problem-solver in suspenders and a beanie. The panel audience viewed a never-before-seen Uncle Grandpa short, “Fishin’ With Uncle Grandpa.” In case you missed it, check out the short here:

The panel also included Steven Universe from creator Rebecca Sugar and featured this first-look of the upcoming series, a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of Steven.

Fans were also treated to a sneak peek of Clarence from creator Skyler Page, about an optimistic boy who wants to do everything.

Series Descriptions:
Uncle Grandpa is everyone in the world’s magical uncle and grandpa, and when he shows up, you’re always in for a fun time. This new series is a fast-paced, visual gag-filled cartoon with an exciting format.
The show revolves Uncle Grandpa & his merry gang: a talking Belly Bag, a giant female realistic flying tiger…Name: Giant Realistic Flying Tiger, Pizza Steve (an egotistical slice of pizza) & Mr. Gus, a dinosaur person. Traveling in an RV, popping up everywhere, they bring magical fun everywhere they go!

Steven Universe: Slated to debut in Fall 2013, Steven Universe is a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of Steven, the youngest member of a team of magical Guardians of the Universe. The animated series is created by Emmy® and Annie Award-nominated writer and storyboard artist Rebecca Sugar (Adventure Time).

Clarence: From creator Skyler Page, Clarence is a new original animated series about an optimistic boy who wants to do everything. Because everything is amazing!
