A new live-action trailer for the first Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC, Onslaught, users humor to indulge a fantasy a lot of gamers have had: being able to blow off boring events to game without having to face the backlash of being told you ruined a birthday/the opera/a family dinner/an anniversary/a vacation/Christmas/the “best years of my life”/etc.
The CODnapper, pronounced like the fish, violently spirits gamers away to play Call of Duty Ghosts: Onslaught, and then returns them, personally guilt free, to their traumatized families, as the press release explains:
“The CODnapper and his team of associates rescue unsuspecting fans from their ‘to do’ lists and everyday chores and deliver them to an oasis known as ONSLAUGHT, the first downloadable content pack available for Call of Duty®: Ghosts. With four new multiplayer maps, the Maverick – an all-new dual purpose Assault Rifle & Sniper Rifle, and the next installment of Extinction, you’re going to want all the time you can get.”
Onslaught will be released Jan. 28 on Xbox Live, with other platforms following afterward. It also features a pants-browning appearance from horror icon Michael Myers as a playable character on the Fog map, watch the video to the end to check it out.
