"Barnyard," "Doomsday" to Enliven YTV in March

Back at the Barnyard will join the YTV schedule, and Superman will suffer death at the hands of Doomsday during the month of March, the kid-themed channel announced today.

Superman: Doomsday, the DC/Warner direct-to-DVD movie, will premiere on YTV on Monday, March 7, at 8:00pm (ET/PT). It is one of more than a dozen movies and specials that will air on the channel during the month.

In addition to the adaptation of The Death of Superman comic book title, YTV will air such films as Stuart Little 2; Casper: A Spirited Beginning; Powerpuff Girls: The Movie; Corpse Bride; and Garfield: The Movie during the month.

March Break (March 10-14) will bring further specials, including Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo; The Fairly OddParents: Abra-Catastrophe; Balto 3 and the Chuck Jones-directed adaptation of Horton Hears a Who. These movies and specials will air on various days during the week at 10:00am and 1:00pm.

To mark Easter, YTV will broadcast the Peanuts special It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown and the CG-animated special Here Comes Peter Cottontail on March 23 at 8:30pm and 4:00pm, respectively.

Back in the Barnyard, based on the Nickelodeon movie, will join its regular Sunday time slot during the month on March 2 at 9:00am.
