"Cars Toons" on Disney Channel in October

Cars Toons, a series of three shorts based on the Pixar film Cars, is coming to the Disney Channel, Toon Disney and ABC Family. The first short, Rescue Squad Mater, will air on October 27. The shorts will be directed by John Lasseter. [ Source: AWN ]

Studio B's Producer Richard Pimm Dies

Richard Pimm, a producer at Studio B, passed away two days ago aged 60. During his career Pimm worked at animation companies such as Nelvana, Disney, Lucasfilm and Toon City. His projects at Studio B include Yvon of the Yukon and Class of the Titans. [ Source: AWN ]

Ottawa Animation Festival Award Winners Announced

This year’s Ottawa International Animation Festival closed yesterday, after its international jury handed awards to a selection of the submitted of films. "A Mouse's Tale" Wins Cartoon D'Or
