"Appleseed" sequel to premiere in theatres in Japan in Fall 2007

The official SEGA website for the Appleseed EX game for the Playstation 2 has posted news that the sequel to Appleseed, Appleseed EX will be released to theatres in japan in the fall of 2007. The film will be produced by John Woo and directed by Shinji Aramaki. [source www.animenewsnetwork.com]

Gatchaman, Yatterman make their way to the big screen

Index Holdings, through their subsidiary Nikkatsu Corporation, has announced the green lighting of live action movies based on the Gatchaman and Yatterman properties for a spring 2009 release.
