Qubo Adds New Series to Line Up

Qubo Channel has purchased 16 half-hour series, including Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist, Jakers, Liberty’s Kids, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century, and Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego to its platforms, c21 Media reports. The series will roll out over the course of the year.

Osbournes Returning to TV in Stop-Motion Form

The Osbourne family are returning to TV in a stop-motion-animated series from Cuppa Coffee Studios, AWN reports. The studio plans to produce 20 episodes of The F’n Osbournes, which is unrelated to their MTV series The Osbournes. It will be seeking production financing at MipTV this April.

Matt Maiellaro is developing a new animated series for FX, The Hollywood Reporter says. The as-yet-untitled project, which originated with Grant Dekernion, is about a man recently released from prison. Dekemion connected with Maiellaro through actor Danny McBride, who will voice a character in the new series.

Disney XD Orders Up New "Pac-Man" Series

Disney XD has picked up Pac-Man: The Adventure Begins, a 3D animated series based on the video game, World Screen reports. The network has ordered 26 22-minute episodes. The series, from Namco Bandai Games, Arad Productions, and 41 Entertainment, will be produced by Avi Arad and Rick Ungar.
