Nickelodeon Latin America Announces New Animated Works

Nickelodeon LA has announced a number of new animated series/licenses, World Screen reports. Included are Mr. Meaty, Barnyard (a spin off of the recent animated film), and Mexican inspired El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera–which focuses on a teenage boy deciding on following the path to superhero or supervillain.

German Channel Das Vierte To Launch Toon Block

German channel Das Vierte is set to launch a three hour animation block, C21Media reports. The block is a partnership with Your Family Entertainment.

Italian Adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's "Kim" Announced

An Italian produced animated adaptation of authour Rudyard Kipling’s Kim is set to be produced, C21Media reports. The animation will be a joint venture between Rai and Mondo TV.

Denmark network DRTV has licensed all 39 episodes of Amberwood Productions’ The Secret World of Benjamin Bear, C21Media reports.

YTV Licenses Decode Entertainment's "Gizmo"

Canadian network YTV has licensed Decode Entertainment’s Gizmo for Fall 2007, C21Media reports. The series, developed by Singapore’s Scrawl Studios, focuses on a group of alien robots who crash land in the backyard of two human siblings.

France Licenses Aardman's "Shaun the Sheep"

French channel TF1 has licensed Aardman Animations’ Shaun the Sheep, C21Media reports. The show is a spin-off from the popular Wallace & Gromit franchise, focusing on the character introduced in the duo’s third film, A Close Shave.

Manga Launches New Anime DVD Magazine In The UK

Manga UK, in partnership with Hachette Partworks, will be releasing a new 50 part magazine/DVD series entitled Manga Force. Each fortnightly issue will include a DVD of a Manga licensed title, including Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and the Evangelion films.

Early Details Released On New Gundam Project
