Attack On Titan Will Get A Third Season In 2018

by on June 19, 2017

Attack On Titan aired the last episode of its second season in Japan on Saturday, and at the very end of the broadcast, viewers were treated to a teaser announcing a third season was in production. The subbed anime is also simulcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation’s streaming service, and American viewers got the same trailer. Now Funi has uploaded the trailer to YouTube. Here it is, all 15 seconds’ worth….

Since Attack On Titan is one of the most popular manga and anime series currently running, you likely already know it’s about the remnants of humanity defending themselves from misshapen naked giants who love to snack on human flesh. Season One revealed there are a small number of humans who can turn themselves into Titans, and Season Two has expanded on this development. After the mysteries of Season One were established, it took around four years for Season Two to appear. Thankfully the wait for Season Three won’t be nearly that long.

The dub version of Attack On Titan Season Two is a few weeks behind the sub and is currently running on Adult Swim’s Toonami block. Funi announced it had acquired the US rights to Season Two last December; we anticipate a similar announcement for Season Three eventually.
