Nominations for 2014 Golden Globe Awards Announced

Nominations for the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced by the The Hollywood Foreign Press Association. This year Globe rules limited the nominees for Best Animated Feature Film to three, with the following movies making the cut: Walt Disney Pictures’ Frozen, The Croods from DreamWorks Animation, and Despicable Me 2 from Illumination Entertainment. 

Additionally, the song “Let It Go” from Frozen received a nomination for Best Original Song in a motion picture. “Let it Go” is competing against “Atlas” (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), “Ordinary Love” (Mandela: The Long Walk to Freedom), “Please Mr. Kennedy” (Inside Llewyn Davis) and “Sweeter Than Fiction” (One Chance). Elsewhere, Studio Ghibli’s The Wind Rises received a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film along with Blue is the Warmest Color, The Past, The Hunt, and The Great Beauty.

The Golden Globe award show will take place on January 12th, 2014.
