AMC Takes Ball, Goes Home

by on September 29, 2012

In what has all the key elements of a grade school argument, AMC has retaliated against the satellite television DISH network by offering a live stream of one of their hit shows, “The Walking Dead” to all current or former subscribers of the network. It all began one sunny day when AMC offered to play ball with DISH and then said, “Hey, I know, why don’t we play with four balls instead of just one? We have these other balls called IFC [it’s spiky], WeTV [it’s pink] and the Sundance Channel [it’s made of leaves and recycled dirt]!”  But DISH didn’t want to play ball with all those balls. They only wanted to play with the AMC ball [and really only for the “Mad Men” part of it] and threatened to tell AMC’s best friend, Monica about the time there was a booger hanging out of AMC’s nose in the cafeteria if AMC didn’t play with the one ball. AMC responded by taking their AMC ball and going home to their website where they will show “The Walking Dead” to all their friends – including Monica – via live stream when the series opens its third season next month. DISH said – Oh yeah!? Well we have 14 million friends and you only have 1.2 million and they’re all related to Monica! So obviously, this is when the pair were sent to the principal’s office to find a way to be nice to each other so that everybody can enjoy their zombies on a normal television screen. They have two weeks to apologize to each other and if they can’t then…

The third season of “The Walking Dead” will be shown via live stream on the AMC website [www.amctv.com] on Sunday, October 14, 2012.
