ADV Picks ‘The Wallflower’

by on May 16, 2007

During a special event at the Alamo Draft House in Houston honoring Japanese director Shinichi Watanabe (“Nabeshin”) and his ADV-licensed show Nerima Daikon Brothers, ADV Films CEO John Ledford announced the licensing of Nabeshin’s latest directorial effort The Wallflower (Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge), based on the manga by Tomoko Hayakawa, published in the US by Del Rey.

The story follows four teenage pretty-boys who are invited to stay at a posh mansion, free of charge – provided they can transform the owner’s stand-offish, terminally weird niece into a polished princess.

Following the announcement, the audience was treated to a showing of the first episode, subtitled in English.
