Aaron McGruder Happier on TV "Boondocks" than Comic Strip

by on October 19, 2007

The News Journal of Delaware has posted a profile article about Aaron McGruder and the second season of The Boondocks, which debuted recently on Adult Swim. The article notes what stressed out McGruder the most in making the first season, why he chose to stop doing the Boondocks newspaper strip, and how he reacts to the controversies that the strip and the show generate. The article notes that the controversies probably won’t stop for the second season of the show, with an entire episode dedicated to “the N-word,” as well as episodes about a gangster rapper moving into the neighborhood and Uncle Ruckus getting his own reality TV show.
