Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Goes Down Under, Mate
In what is all but a done deal, the fifth installment of the popular “Pirates of the Caribbean” feature film franchise starring Johnny Depp will substitute Australia for the Caribbean after the country tossed a significant incentive of doubloons – reportedly in the neighborhood of a $20 million tax break – to entice the Pirates to travel Down Under for all their filming needs. The fifth film will be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg [both from “Kon-Tiki”].
“Pirates of the Caribbean 5” is currently scheduled for a release date of July 7, 2017.
