Sony PlayStation Network Hit By Hacker Attack
Sony’s PlayStation network was down for much of the weekend after being the target of a hacker attack from a terrorist group calling itself the Lizard Squad. The attackers demanded the USA stop bombing the ISIS terrorist group in the Middle East and threatened Sony Online Entertainment President John Smedley by implying there might have been a bomb aboard his plane flying from Dallas to San Francisco over the weekend. Smedley and others on that flight were re-routed to Phoenix where they were de-planed and re-boarded to other flights without incident.
The network resumed operations on Sunday evening after the initial attack on Friday.
