SEC Hits DreamWorks With Turbo Investigation

In more financial news, DreamWorks Animation is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission [SEC] after disclosing that they took a $13.5 million hit on last year’s “Turbo” feature film. “Turbo” had a disclosed budget of $135 million but only took in $83 million domestically at the box office.

“Turbo” performed much better in the international market, however, bringing in a reported $199 million.
