E3: Sony Reveals PlayStation TV
At the E3 [Electronic Entertainment Expo] show in Los Angeles, Sony announced that they will be bringing a PlayStation TV priced at $99 to the North American market later this year. The PlayStation TV will give access to games from older consoles such as PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS Vita, that are not currently available to the PS4 next-generation console released last year.
In addition, Sony announced that internet favorite YouTube will be available on the PS4, the PlayStation Now service – providing access to hundreds of game titles – will be open for beta testing on July 31, 2014 and the “Powers” digital series from Marvel’s comic book/graphic novel will be developed for the PlayStation Network.
Finally, an animated movie involving video game characters Ratchet & Clank is in development along with a revival of the 1990s-era LucasArts“Grim Fandango” video game for the PS4.
