Despite the annoying nuisance of being, technically, dead for the past 12 years, Charles Martin “Chuck” Jones – one of the world’s greatest animators of his time – will have his animation art touring the country in a Smithsonian Touring Exhibit entitled “What’s Up Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones”. The exhibit features 22 large scale representations of his creations including “What’s Opera, Doc?”, “One Froggy Evening” and his Academy Award-winning creation “The Dot and the Line”.
“What’s Up Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones” is currently scheduled to open at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York on July 19, 2014 and running through January 19, 2015 before moving on to Fort Worth, Texas in February 2015 and Seattle in June 2015.
