PR: The Machine's director & producer to speak at MCM Birmingham Comic Con

MCM BIRMINGHAM COMIC CON & MEMORABILIA – NEC – 22-23 MARCH

Enter The Machine – Award-winning UK film’s director and producer to speak at Birmingham Comic Con

The director and producer of new sci-fi movie The Machine, winner of Best UK Feature at Raindance Film Festival 2013, are the latest special guests to be announced for this weekend’s MCM Birmingham Comic Con & Memorabilia.

Attending the Saturday of the show, director Caradog James and producer John Giwa-Amu will be taking part in a panel on the movie, which receives a theatrical and VoD release on Friday 21 March, the day before comic con.

Starring Toby Stephens (Die Another Day, Onegin), Caity Lotz (Arrow, Mad Men) and Denis Lawson (Star Wars, Local Hero), The Machine is set in a near future Britain embroiled in a Cold War with China. To aid the struggle, the Ministry of Defence is working on a mechanised super-soldier; an intelligent android who will give Britain the edge in peace and war alike. But scientist Vincent McCarthy has his own agenda – he’s desperate to harness the new technology to help give his sick daughter Mary another chance at life…
