Valve’s Steam Machines At CES 2014
When it comes to gaming consoles, everybody knows about the twin titans of the industry – Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One – but Valve is hoping to supplant the fading Nintendo as the third major player on the video game console block. Valve unveiled their new Steam Machines – consoles designed with the 65 million users of PC video game digital download platform Steam in mind – at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Valve’s Steam Machines already have partners in Alienware and Falcon Northwest and have 14 different Steam Machines [one for each partner plus one of Valve’s own design] due out for the market in 2014 at a price range from $500 to $6000 [yes, you read that right].
The 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show [CES] runs through January 10 at the various locations in Las Vegas, Nevada.
