Stretch Proves Too Much Of A Stretch For Relativity

The movie that was to be based on the Hasbro toy “Stretch Armstrong” had been scheduled for a release next spring but never went into production and was finally pulled off the release schedule after Relativity Media abandoned the project they had briefly collaborated on with the toy’s maker, Hasbro. Hasbro had originally cut a deal with Universal in 2008 to make movies based on several of their toy lines with the movie based on Stretch Armstrong [a toy released in 1976] to star Taylor Lautner [“Twilight”] but the movie never materialized and Universal passed off the project to Relativity in January 2012.

“Stretch Armstrong” had originally been scheduled for an April 11, 2014 release.
