"Murder Police" Killed Off by Fox
With The Cleveland Show being cancelled and American Dad moving to TBS in 2014, Fox needed a replacement to fill out their popular Sunday evening animation lineup of The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy – and Murder Police was supposed to be that replacement after receiving a 13-episode order earlier in the year. But the series never made it to sunlight as Fox cancelled it before it left the police station. The series was an animated version of a pseudo-Barney Miller police precinct with quirky characters that were to be voiced by Wilmer Valderrama, Jane Lynch and Will Sasso amongst others.
Fox will attempt to shop around Murder Police to other cable networks while it works on replacing American Dad with either an animated series from their late-night lineup or, possibly, a live-action show.
