Encyclopedia Brown: The Case Of The Missing Movie
Author Donald J. Sobol wrote the “Encyclopedia Brown” boy detective novel series that became popular in the 1960s and 1970s and eventually became a television series – albeit short-lived – on HBO in 1989. Now the series – about a teenage boy with encyclopedic knowledge who solves crimes with the help of a police chief father and spunky teen girl sidekick – is set to become a feature film. Warner Bros. has put the project into development and is working on a script for the film with a possible release in 2015 or 2016.
Sobol began the series in 1963 and wrote 29 books in all with the final book coming out last year – posthumously – three months after his death.
