NTSF:SD:SUV:: Episode Recap – TGI Murder – Season 3, Episode 5
Synopsis: The president of the Navy [Rob Riggle] opens a restaurant chain called Tig Bittley’s but he faces stiff competition from Senor Dick’s.
Details: The President of the Navy – because he has nothing better to do – has decided to open a restaurant chain [in the vein of TGI Friday’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Red Robin, etc.] only to discover that a competing restaurant chain called Senor Dick’s has an owner Todd Bruger [Lance Reddick – “The Wire”] who is not too happy about having competition and is intent on putting the POTN’s franchise out of business for good. The NTSF:SD:SUV has apparently signed up to act as protectors of the POTN’s business venture by disguising themselves as restaurant staff with Alphonse as a waiter, Trent in the kitchen and Piper and Daisy running the bar.
Wit Trent training bouncers to handle the expected onslaught from Senor Dick’s goon squad, Daisy and Piper channel their inner whores for some tabletop dancing that attracts Daisy’s dad out of nowhere so he can inform her that he is proud of her now that she has shed her nerd girl persona. Meanwhile, Alphonse spends most of the episode fending off a table full of soccer moms who want some of the “fishing rod” in his pants.
Bruger eventually visits the restaurant’s kitchen where he is confronted by Trent, who can stop him but only if he uses his trademarked “head-pop” bouncer move. Reluctant to use his signature move, Bruger takes advantage of the delay and sets fire to the restaurant, pulling Trent into a fight and forcing him to use his head-pop maneuver to kill Bruger but – alas – the restaurant is a total loss.
The Poop and Skinny: Trent attempts to “train” his bouncers with a medical diagram of the human body but one of the bouncers [Tommy Lister] says “I’m not confident you even know what a trachea is.”
“The soccer moms are about to arrive – we’re going to need bouncers at the door.” – Piper, citing one of her concerns.
Daisy’s dad hands Daisy her mother’s glow stick.
