NY Times on DreamWorks Animation's Chief Creative Officer Bill Damaschke

The New York Times has profiled Bill Damaschke, the chief creative officer of DreamWorks Animation SKG, and his increasingly important role in the studio’s films, including the upcoming Turbo.  Among other topics, the article discusses the many initiatives that are causing DreamWorks’ CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg to spend less time in creative decision-making on the features, the ways Damaschke has influenced several recent DreamWorks releases, Damaschke’s disappointment at the lukewarm box office reception to last year’s Rise of the Guardians, and the regard that many at DreamWorks hold Damaschke (including Brenda Chapman, formerly of Pixar and co-director of Brave).
