SDCC2013: Day Four Recap: Breaking Bad Breaks For Good And 374th Doctor Who Says Cheerio
Day Four of Comic-Con is always the worst day because you are likely experiencing negative repercussions from over-enjoyment of Day Three festivities, with the big movie studios typically engaging in their massive hypefests on Saturday, it has the least news of all the days and worst of all – it signals the fact that it will be at least another 365 days until the next Comic-Con. Day Four of Comic-Con 2013 in San Diego was like that as the biggest news of the day was likely the already-known demise of AMC’s “Breaking Bad” television series. Star Bryan Cranston – who was recently the recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – engaged in a conversation with a mask of his character and co-star Aaron Paul made out with the mask. “Breaking Bad” will begin airing the fifth season’s final eight episodes beginning August 11, 2013 on AMC.
Meanwhile, “Doctor Who”, the popular British science fiction television series which has been going on for what seems like several hundred years now [actually “only” 50] and has had approximately 374 actors playing the title role held a farewell party for Doctor Who #374, Matt Smith, who will be making his final appearance as the Doctor in a special that airs on BBC America on November 23, 2013 before giving way to a new Doctor.
TNT’s paranormal drama “Supernatural” is entering its ninth season and star Jared Padalecki was in San Diego to talk about the fate of his character, Sam Winchester [hint: Sam will be experiencing some character growth spurts this season].
