TELETOON’S HALLOWEEN PROGRAMMING IS HERE

(Toronto, ON, October 10, 2012) – Creepy creatures and scary specters abound in TELETOON’s Halloween programming, airing from Friday, October 19 to Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Frightening highlights include the broadcast premiere of the first-ever full-length Scooby-Doo musical, Scooby-Doo! Music of the Vampire, on Saturday, October 20 at 7 p.m. ET/PT and a night of back-to-back squeals during a special Halloween-inspired Can’t Miss Thursdays programming block from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Thursday, October 25.
Where the Mystery Inc. team goes, scary stuff seems to follow. Their latest adventure is no exception … but this time there’s music! In the broadcast premiere of Scooby-Doo! Music of the Vampire on Saturday, October 20 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, Daphne becomes the star of a vampire film, but the production is thrown into chaos when a real vampire shows up, forcing the gang to investigate who’s behind the mayhem. Adding to the freaky fun, Scooby mysteries including Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins, Scooby Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster and eerie episodes of Scooby-Doo: Mystery Inc. will air throughout the schedule.
On top of all the Scooby scares, TELETOON’s Halloween lineup is packed with themed programming including a very special Can’t Miss Thursdays on Thursday, October 25 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, featuring brand new Halloween episodes of fan favourites Adventure Time with Finn & Jake, Johnny Test and My Babysitter’s a Vampire as well as a special presentation of Scared Shreckless. Viewers can also catch the premiere of a Halloween-themed episode of Skatoony on Sunday, October 21 at 1 p.m. ET/PT and monstrous movie programming including Wallace and Grommit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Casper: A Spirited Beginning and more.
Also running from October 19 to October 31, the Scooby-Doo Monster Mash Up Contest offers TELETOON fans a chance to win a family trip for four to New York City to see Scooby-Doo Live! Musical Mysteries. In this watch n’ win contest, a Mystery Machine revealing a daily secret code word will appear sporadically throughout TELETOON’s Halloween programming. Viewers who spot the machine can head to teletoon.com to enter the code to win the trip or one of thirteen secondary prizes.
Halloween on TELETOON kicks off with a special presentation of Monsters Vs. Aliens at 4 p.m. ET/PT on Friday, October 19 and continues throughout the weekends and every weeknight until Wednesday, October 31.
