Ron "Horshack" Palillo 1949-2012

The Hollywood Reporter reports that actor Ron Palillo died today of a heart attack at his home near Palm Beach, Florida. He was 63.

Palillo was known to TV viewers as Arnold Horshack on the 70s TV series Welcome Back, Kotter from 1975-1979. He also appeared as a guest on The Love Boat, The A-Team, and Cagney & Lacey. He also appeared in films such as Skatetown U.S.A., and Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. In 2002, he lost to former child star Dustin Diamond on an episode of Celebrity Boxing.

Palillo did voice work on shows like Darkwing Duck, Superman, Midnight Patrol: Adventures in the Dream Zone, and The Little Clowns of Happytown. He was the voice of Sgt. Squealy in Laverne & Shirley in the Army, and the voice of Rubik on Rubik The Amazing Cube.

Palillo is survived by actor Joseph Gramm, his partner of 41 years.
