Otakon 2012: Vertical Publishing Announces "Gundam: The Origin", "Wolfsmund" Manga
Vertical Publishing announced several new titles at their panel at Otakon 2012.
Gundam: The Origin will be released in a series of hardcover collector’s editions. Each will be 400-500 pages and will include color pages and essays from a number of prominent Japanese animation producers. The exact list is currently not finalized due to issues with gaining the rights to all of the material. New volumes will come out every three months.
Wolfsmund, a fantasy series based on the story of William Tell. The manga is by Mitsuhisa Kuji, a former assistant to Kentaro Miura who has also worked on a number of other action and shoujo titles.
General Will 2.0: Rousseau, Freud, and Google by Hiroki Azuma, a collection of prose and thoughts examining the popular culture in Japan after the 2011 tsunami.
